With Health Equity Report Deadline Looming, HQI Is Here to Help

In just a few short months, hospitals’ first health equity reports, required under Assembly Bill 1204 (2021), will be due to the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI). These reports are no easy feat — they encompass dozens of measures, thousands of data fields, and require details about equity planning and performance.

HQI knows your organizations are facing myriad challenges: state and federal budget decisions that will disrupt care, the seemingly endless new requirements that hospitals must meet, and increasing care needs in your communities. To help you focus your resources where they matter most — on patient care — HQI has developed a program to streamline this new health equity reporting.

By enrolling in the Hospital Quality Improvement Platform (HQIP), participating hospitals can generate a report that is more than 95% ready for submission to HCAI. But time is running out — with the first reports due Sept. 30, hospitals must enroll in HQI’s program by July 30. Current HQIP participants must opt in to this additional reporting, but no additional data submission is required. To learn more, plan to attend one of our upcoming webinars.

Our team is ready to help every step of the way, so that you can get back to doing what you do best — caring for patients.
