I’m pleased to share an important initiative from HQI: support for hospitals in meeting California’s mandatory health equity reporting requirements, which begin in September. Hospitals will be required to submit:
- Eleven structural measures with 1,800+ data fields
- Nine stratified core quality measures across nine variables
- Rate ratios of stratification groups
- A comprehensive health equity plan
HQI has the solution. Through the Hospital Quality Improvement Platform (HQIP), hospitals can access a report that is more than 95% complete and ready to submit to the California Department of Health Care Access and Information.
