HQI’s Hospital Quality Improvement Platform (HQIP) now includes:
- New behavioral health reports for inpatient and emergency department encounters
- An update to the Severe Maternal Morbidity and Mortality report, which now follows the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Maternal Health Indicator report
- Updated 2022 National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) baseline rates; members can now view existing NHSN reports based on either the 2015 baseline or the 2022 baseline
- Consolidation of multiple reports into one based on encounter types, which allows filtering for individual encounter type views (all, inpatient, emergency department, ambulatory surgery)
- A new local health plan report
Future HQIP updates include:
- Automated hospital system reporting to streamline comparisons of measured outcomes across network hospitals
- Modifications to local health plan reports
- Behavioral health filters in certain reports
- New cancer readmission and long-term care readmission reports based on Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services methodology
